Outer Hebrides Climate Hub: Empowering Members, Inspiring Change

The Outer Hebrides Climate Hub is member based and provides resources, strategic and operational support for action on climate change.

Welcome to the OH Climate Hub

The Hub was formed because there was no available platform for community organisations, businesses and individuals to collaborate on climate change action in the islands. Financed by Scottish Government, we draw down funding and develop activities that enable action in the islands by its members – supporting each other. Hub members are based in Vatersay to Ness, and whilst different in their remit and activities, share the common concern of climate change and its effects on the islands.

Hub membership is free, but has multiple benefits and these include access to resources and activities that would otherwise be unavailable in the community. Since beginning in November 2023, we have achieved a Gaelic convention on climate change, OH-COP (Communities), support for enterprise on exploring climate change and sustainability, Bitesize climate awareness training sessions, drop in events, multiple Ideas into Action small grants and ongoing newsletters highlighting action and resources.
