Join Embark’s weekly Tuesday stroll in the Lewis Castle Grounds.
This event takes place every Tuesday weather permitting. It is a group made up of both Volunteering Hebrides volunteers and participants. We walk (or wheel) for approximately one hour with a wide demographic consisting of different walking abilities. Often the group will split in two with some wanting to go further.

Climate Week: Embark Tuesday Social Stroll
Join Embark's weekly Tuesday stroll in the Lewis Castle Grounds.
This event takes place every Tuesday weather permitting. It is a group made up of both Volunteering Hebrides volunteers and participants. We walk (or wheel) for approximately one hour with a wide demographic consisting of different walking abilities. Often the group will split in two with some wanting to go further.
The group maps out a route through the Lewis Castle Grounds and heads off with a leader up front and a leader at the back. We use e-bikes and the range of abilities varies. For those who are less confident on a bike, one to one sessions may be available depending on Cycle Leader availability. For those that are unable to cycle for whatever reason we have side by side electric tandems available. Also, all e-bikes and tandems are free to use.
