OH COP 2

Our most recent event was OH-COP1 – the first ever Outer Hebrides Climate Conference, attended by over 120 people across the islands back in September 2024. We plan on hosting an OH-COP event every year to follow up on previous commitments to climate action, while raising awareness of the key climate issues facing island communities and our fragile landscape.
We have held the nationally significant Gàidhlig Convention on Climate Change, reports in English and Gaelic can be found here. We have also held OH-COP (Communities) events on adaptation, and support for social and private enterprise.
We also regularly run bitesize training sessions for Hub members on climate change in the islands, as well as more in-depth training courses for businesses and enterprises to help them decarbonise.
